To perform a neuter the animal is placed in a relaxed position on its back. A small incision is made just above the level of the scrotum.

The testes are then pushed up from the scrotum to the incision line. Each testicle is removed after tying off the blood vessels to prevent bleeding.

The incision is closed using sutures.
